COSM’OIL® KD-T is a dispersion of titanium dioxide in COSM’OIL® KD (Pongamia Glabra Seed oil). COSM’OIL KD® is obtained from the crushing and pressing of the seeds (Pongamia Glabra), followed by deodorization
COSM’OIL® KD-S is Organic Virgin Pongamia Glabra Seed oil. It is obtained from the crushing and pressing of the seeds of the Karanja tree (Pongamia Glabra), followed by a deodorization. This natural oil possesses many interesting cosmetic activities. It naturally absorbs UVB rays and can contribute to the formulation of sunscreen. It has many beneficial properties such as anti-bacterial, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a well-known pigment, because of its high refractive index. It also functions as an effective UV absorber. Titanium dioxide is ideal for formulating mild or hypoallergenic sun care products for UVA/UVB protection for babies and children, and consumers with sensitive skin. It’s the physical and chemical stability of titanium dioxide, which differentiates this filter from organic UV absorbers.
