CACAY OIL

CACAY OIL is extracted from the nuts of the Caryodendron orinocense tree. It is rich in Vitamin E, and has antioxidant, anti-aging and moisturizing properties.

The Caryodendron orinocense tree is indigenous to South America, where it’s grown principally for the nuts although the trees are also thought to be good for promoting biodiversity in the Amazon region

The Cacay nuts are cold-pressed to extract the nutritious oil which contains many essential fatty acids, as well as Vitamins E and A. There are certain reports that claim it has 50% more Vitamin E than Argan oil, as well as high levels of Retinol.

Cacay oil is most often used in cosmetic products, although it has use in cooking and soap making.
