The principle components are:
Pentasodium Tetracarboxymethyl Acetylhydroxyprolyl Dipeptide-12, which activates autophagy in keratinocytes and degrades existing melanosomes
Pentasodium Tetracarboxymethyl Dipeptide-51, which induces the inhibition of PAR-2 in keratinocytes preventing new melanosomes from entering the keratinocytes
MelaTrepein 5000 does not affect Melanogenesis of Melanocytes (MITF, Tyrosinase)
