Tara is a legume/pod native to the Andes. Peruvian Tara has been used since the time of the Incas. They used it as a medicine for irritated skin, natural black ink for their clothes, leather tannin and even as money savings because of its diverse uses and non-perishable characteristics.
Peruvian Tara Seed is a natural hydrocolloid obtained by a 100% mechanical process with the Tara seed endosperm.
It consists of a diverse group of polysaccharides which are isolated from the Tara Seed endosperm. It’s also known as a Galactomannan.
