Citron, also known as Citrus medica, is a fragrant but inedible citrus fruit. The citron originates and grows wild in Korea. The bright sunshine & sea breeze of Korea is said to produce a citron fruit with a thicker peel & more potent properties.
Applications of Korean Citron Oil:
- Clear complexion – Korean citron oil has a similar structure to fatty acids so helps to work against excess oil & acne formation on the skin
- Brightening – Citron contains 3 times more Vitamin C than lemons, causing melanin to decreasing giving a skin brightening effect
- Haircare – Citron oil has uses in haircare as the oil helps to smooth out the hair without leaving a sticky residue. Clinical data shows a decrease in hair friction.
The Citron or Yuza originated and grows wild in Japan, and Korea. The Citron from Korea have a strong flavour and thicker peel than other countries. The Citron with the warm sunshine and gentle sea breeze of the southern sea of Goheung, where Citron is grown in Korea, are considered to be superior to other local Citron on the flavours and sugar contents
