SpecKare® PCAC (Copper PCA) is the Copper salt of L-Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid (L-PCA), physiological compound of the epidermis, obtained by cyclization of L-glutamic acid.
SpecKare® PCAC is a Super Antioxidant.
Its antioxidant performance is 40 times that of ordinary L-ascorbic acid; It can stimulate the synthesis of Collagen in the skin, produce elastic fibers, accelerate the repair of tissues and increase the elasticity of the skin.
SpecKare® PCAC also has a moisturizing function. Therefore, SpecKare® PCAC can be recommended as an addition to products for moisturizing, anti-oxidation, anti-aging and skin repair
MECHANISM OF ACTION :
Associated with Zinc in dermo-cosmetics for its astringent and antimicrobial properties, Copper is one of the body’s essential trace elements.
Copper PCA helps regulate the activity of the sebaceous glands by reducing the rate of cutaneous sebum. It is the active ingredient of choice for lotions for oily skin to which it also brings its characteristic blue-green colour. Copper PCA is preservative free
