SpecKare™ PO – Piroctone olamine – the new generation anti-dandruff agent
SpecKare™ PO is known for its bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties specifically working against Pityrosporum ovale, which lives on the skin and is associated with dandruff and other manifestations of flaking on the face and scalp.
Piroctone Olamine also reduces sebum production.
SpecKare™ PO is an anti-dandruff agent which is more effective than ZPT (Zinc Pyrithione) and Climbazole, a broad spectrum preservative, a thickener for shampoo systems and an agent for the elimination of offensive body odours
SpecKare™ PO has a specific action against Malassezia furfur species that is responsible for the production of dandruff.
Dandruff is reduced by 51.4% after using 0.75% SpecKare™ PO (six weeks),

Broad-spectrum Antibacterial and antifungal effect. Piroctone Olamine has a wide range of antibacterial and antifungal actions, it has been used in soaps, and cream to eliminate offensive body odours, or to replace preservatives.
