SpecMicro Aqua FA is an advanced, water-soluble form of ferulic acid developed to address the formulation challenges traditionally associated with this potent antioxidant. Naturally known for its ability to neutralise free radicals, enhance photoprotection, and improve skin brightness, ferulic acid has long been hindered by poor water solubility—until now.
This innovative ingredient delivers up to 2% ferulic acid in a clear, aqueous solution, making it highly suitable for transparent serums, lotions, essences, and other water-based formulations. It simplifies formulation processes by eliminating the need for solubilising agents, allowing for faster development and improved compatibility with sensitive actives.
SpecMicro Aqua FA is particularly effective when used alongside Vitamin C derivatives (such as Ascorbyl Ethyl Ether) and Vitamin E, enhancing their antioxidant performance and extending overall product stability.
