SpecWhite® PAD is prepared by the reaction of Azelaic acid and Glycine. It is easily soluble in water and has good compatibility. It can achieve whitening effect by inhibiting tyrosinase activity. It can also inhibit bacterial growth and skin oil secretion, so it is suitable for anti-acne products. Therefore, SpecWhite® PAD can be added to cosmetics that claim to have whitening, anti-freckle and anti-acne effects.

SpecWhite® PAD – Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate, is a water-soluble ingredient obtained from the condensation of Azelaic acid mixed with the hydrating amino acid Glycine. The glycine gives it a hydrating/moisturising effect that helps improve conditions for compromised skin.
SpecWhite® PAD offers many of the same skin care benefits as pure Azelaic acid (including the ability to improve uneven tone), with the advantage that is easier to incorporate into various types of cosmetic formulations due to its increased stability and compatibility. It is a gentle anti-inflammatory and plays a role in reducing the appearance of redness and discomfort associated with sensitive skin, and thus is able to improve Rosacea and Acne symptoms, as well as fading pigmentation left from acne.
SpecWhite® PAD contributes to a skin whitening effect by inhibiting tyrosinase activity. Simultaneously it has the ability to normalize and in turn help minimise excess sebum, and inhibit bacterial growth This makes it most suitable for acne products.
In skincare formulations, a Minimum 0.5% concentration is beneficial for soothing skin, while amounts between 2 – 3% can help fade skin discolouration and influence sebum.
